USA promotes the 25th of April as the official National DNA Day. Not only
to recognize the historic achievement made in the
identification/characterization of the structure of DNA but to also bring
IMPORTANT awareness to the area of Genetics and Genomics for past, present
and future students.  I think it would be nice if we help publicize this
event here in Brasil, at the very least among our University. Not only
because it's our duty as genetists, but this year in particular marks the
60th anniversary since James Watson and Francis Crick
published their landmark paper in Nature on the discovery of the structure
of the DNA. Here is the paper (noticed the writing style!)
